He is a great guide showing us the beautiful spots on the island the beaches, he even happily showed us the new fire station which we requested to see. Rudy had took us to a great, local restaurant. Thank you you very much to Eleanor for our magnificent tour. We had a wonderful time. We drove over to the east end of the island and got in a boat with Alex and went through the mangrove tour and then on to the Hole in the Wall for a great lunch and fellowship with the owner, Bob. Then back through we stopped and took pictures, went by the iguana farm, shopped at stores and even got to stop by the fire department. Eleanor was very knowledgeable about the island and any questions we asked along the way. Ivy met us in the morning and took us around the island. We stopped along the way to see wildlife and monkeys. The zipline tour was a blast! The guides were great and the views couldnt be beat...not to mention how high the lines were! We had a wonderful time with our tour guide, Ivy. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the island. We were 5 families traveling together on a cruise ship. On this day, all the guys went deep sea fishing and the girls wanted to experience the culture of the island. Ivy, showed us around the island, stopping whenever we wanted. She took us to several scenic places and local shopping. We went to the monkey farm. My nieces didnt think they wanted to go, but they had the best time and couldnt stop laughing and talking about it. We also went on a boat to see the Dolphins and to go snorkeling. Our snorkeling guide went out of his way to show us marine life in the reefs. Then, Ivy took us to West Beach to relax. We finished our day by meeting up with the guys for a fish fry of their catch of the day, on West End. It was a packed and fun day! I would use Christopher tours again.

Christopher tours was fabulous. First, we asked him to take us to a grocery store where you would shop. He took us to a great market where we bought bottled water for way less than the ship or tourist areas, Honduran beer and some snacks. The rain didnt dampen our spirits. I have been on 5 cruises, and this was by far the best shore excursion experience--fabulous air-conditioned van, and a fabulous guide. We had a great time! Thank you, Alonzo.

Hello my name is charlene cason my 2 sisters and I booked a tour with christopher tours online about a month before we arrived in Roatan. Alonzo contacted my right away with a confirmation. on the day of our excursion we were late disenbarking the ship, but Alonzo was still there waiting when we got to the bottom if the hill. Alonzo was very professional introduced himself and processed to answer all our questions about the island. The tour took us around the island and through some small neighborhoods, and to an island gift shop where we were able to get some good deals. After that we went to the zipline company which was very nice the zip company had 18 lines which was awesome. once we were done their Alonzo took us to the beach were we could cool off in the water and get some lunch. overall this was one of the best excursions of the cruise. Alonzo took care of us and made sure we had a fantastic day. Thanks Alonzo for a wonderful Island experience. Be blessed.

I can not say enough great things about this excursion! Not only was it an incredible value for the price, but I had no idea that it was a private tour when I booked it! To our complete surprise, and absolute delight, we had an awesome tour of the island in a private van, with our own personal tour guide & driver. Our tour guide, Eleanor was absolutely amazing, so funny & friendly, and totally down to earth, we absolutely adored her & the sights she brought us to. As someone who takes a million pictures of everything, it was great to have them pull over as well for me to snap some shots. The zip line tour was AMAZING! Much more than we expected, and even though it was pretty scary, the best part was when the guide had me ziping down upside down! Talk about a rush. I wish I could do that everyday! After that, we were on to the snorkeling adventure. So cool! It was awesome to have the boat waiting for us, as long as we wanted to be in the water, no schedule to follo! I would HIGHLY recommend this to any & everyone visiting Roatan. If I ever come back, and hope I do!, I will DEFINITELY be doing this again!! Allison Whittemore.

After a short hike down a steep hill we were met by Ivy who was a fabulous tour guide. Informative of all aspects of the Island, and a true Honduran sharing with us answers to all our questions about life on Roatan. We passed on monkeys but definitely did the zipline tour that was unbelievable. Our grandkids can't believe we did it. I would highly recommend Christopher Tours to anyone who wants to "taste" the real Island of Roatan.

I researched this island prior to arriving there and Christopher Tours/Alonzo keep showing up. So I decided to email the company with some questions. To my surprise Alonzo replied back to my email requesting my phone number so he could call me directly. I was very impressed by this and booked our free style tour with him. He was at the designated spot when we were suppose to meet. I have been on 5 cruises as well as other vacations, but this tour was the best by far than any other tour I have ever been on. First we got informed about the locals/island on our way to our 1st stop which was the monkeys. We got to go into several "cages" and interact with the monkeys. And it was just our family in there, while other families were rotating through other sights. After the monkeys we chose to take a zip line over the jungle viewing the ocean. I was scared at first but I decided to do it because how often do you get a view like that. We were glad we did, it was amazing. Then Alonzo took us to a beach where we spent a few hours until it was time to go back. I was so impressed with the tour as well as Alonzo. I have NEVER written a review before but as I am in advertising I know that word of mouth advertising is better than anything you can pay for I decided to write the review-Alonzo deserved it!! If you are trying to decide what to do in Roatan I would strongly recommend Christopher Tours.

I was in the same group with the Housleys and let me second what Polly wrote. Alonzo and Christopher were the best guides I could hope for, the van was comfortable and cool and everything was great. I am a zipline fanatic, I have ziplined many times in many places. These were among the best I have experienced. They were high, long, an fast. The guides did a great job keeping it fun and safe. The water was clear and calm and the snorkeling was great. I will go back on this tour with Christopher tours again. They are the best!

Great Fun - We had 6 in our group and saved a lot of money by booking directly with Christopher Tours. Our guide, Alonzo Lanza, was waiting for us when the ship docked, he had a comfortable air conditioned van and took us wherever we wanted to go. He stopped for pictures if we wanted etc. He was at our disposal and showed us areas the ships tours don't normally see. For less than the price on Princess we received a wonderful snorkeling tour. Christopher's tours was waiting on us when we came off the ship, right where their directions said they would be. On the way to the beach we were able to tour a part of the Island, boarded the boat and where in route we stopped to watch the dolphins train, hold starfish and spent exactly the right amount of time with a guided tour of all the wonders of the sea. We could have spent more time on the beach but we asked to be taken back to the ship and they gladly granted our request. What a terrific day! Everyone in our group, from the age of 8 to 64 enjoyed our day. It was well planned allowing time for several activities including Ziplining, shopping, and interaction with the monkeys and birds. We hired a private guide, Kevin, who was fantastic. On our previous visit to Roatan we had seen the dirt roads and shacks and the pitiful "downtown". When we returned we saw on HGTV people wanting to live there, we were shocked. So we booked the private car, at $40 pp and Kevin showed us the real "Roatan". He was so knowledgable about the island and its history and knew just the places to go. The best stop on our cruise thanks to Christopher Tours. I appreciate the Tour company's immediate feedback and phone call to arrange the tour, first class service.

This was our first cruise and we did the package deal with Christopher Tours and out of all of the excurisons we took this was the most awesome and we will for sure go back and hang with the guys and girls that work for Christopher tours. February, 1, 2011. " Beautiful Roatan"

We just returned from our cruise to Belize on NCL Spirit. We had arranged for NON SHIP tours at each port and we booked Roatan Christopher Tours at Roatan. After getting off the ship was a little concerned that we had to walk outside of the 'ship tours' and down the road, but we were met immediately by Ivy and Hayman. Ivy was ready to take us wherever we wanted and was so knowledgeable about all the sights on the island. She kept saying that she and Hayman were there to do whatever we wanted for the day, zip lining, snorkeling, diving, visiting the monkeys, etc. Both guide and driver were so friendly and nice and they were recognized at every stop we made, which is a good sign. We opted just for a few hours of sightseeing and it was great. We would recommend Roatan Christopher Tours for anyone interested in visiting Roatan for the day and want to see it all.

February, 1, 2011. "Love the zipline and the best of Roatan"

This is a great way to see Roatan. We had a group of 18 who ranged from 74 to 3. It's hard to accommodate that many, but Alonzo did a GREAT job. We are an adventurous family who likes to do a lot of outdoors experiences. We LOVED doing the best of Roatan. I can't believe we got so much done in one day. Iguana Farm (a must see), Monkey Farm, (Kids loved it, adults could pass if we didn't have the kids), Zipline (I'd do it again in a heartbeat), and the beach (was absolutely beautiful). There is no way you could do all this with the cruise excursions. First it would cost you an arm and a leg, secondly there are so many people it takes to long to get everyone loaded. Alonzo was flexible with us, told us about the island as we drove from spot to spot, and took care of our every need. That's impressive with a large group. I'd go back to him for sure, larger group or small. He knows all the great spots.

It started with an email to his company through their web site.
Within an hour, Alonzo CALLED me at my office to discuss my needs.
There was a follow up confirmation email and I knew we were in good hands.

Alonzo was a safe driver and knowledgeable of his island.
He was 100% into doing whatever we asked for and he delivered.
The Zip Lining itself was outstanding and observing Alonzo's interaction with the Management there indicated that Alonzo is well respected.

We had planned on a few hours at the beach but unfortunately it was "too nice" that day and we couldn't handle any more sun. Alonzo was where he said he'd be and we left about an hour earlier. His son, Christopher, was with us and this boy should be cloned.
Very respectful and hard working. Alonzo's business will definitely live on through him.

I just returned from a cruise where the second port of call was Roatan. I should say that I have been to over 45 "ports of call" and Christopher Tours was the best I have ever taken. I had a group of 5 (35-50) and told Alonzo what I would like to do and he arranged the entire tour and confirmed within 1 hour of contacting him. We settled on an island tour and beach day. The tour was well informed with both Kevin and Ivy telling the group of the history and general information plus some personal information about themselves and their families and life on the island. Once at the resort we decided we wanted "local food", eagerly they packed us up and we were off to a fantastic restaurant in Coxen Hole. The tour from start to finish was so much more then I would have expected and have expected from different private and group tours in ANY port of call. If you would like more detail please contact me directly at allexpresstravel@aol.com. If and when Alonzo reads this he will learn that his tour and company are "travel agent approved"! One note, the gate where Christopher Tours meet up (due to regulations) is not immediately accessible after docking on Mahagony Beach but for $3 US a taxi will get you there if you are traveling with guests that need assistance or are just lazy (some of my travelers were). When you are on the downside of the incline you will be greeted by a Christopher Tours sign and smiling IVY (she never stopped)! Thank you, Alonzo, Ivy and Kevin for making this stop such a fantastic experience for all of us.

Our tour guide, Kevin, was fantastic. He took us to various places on the island and was able to offer up suggestions of places to stop. He took us to a great little place on the water to grab a bite to eat. Being a native of the island, Kevin was able to provide us with a background of the natives and their culture as well as answer all of our questions. Our experience with Kevin was the highlight of our vacation and we will definitely return. Both he and Christopher Tours are highly recommended!

Decided not to use cruise excursion service and researched on-line for options before we left. What a wonderful surprise Christopher Tours turned out to be! We had a day we will NEVER forget - zip-lining through the canopy, iguana farm, monkey park with the sleepy baby monkeys and incredibly gorgeous birds, snorkeling and Monkey-la-las! I have already referred friends and they had a marvelous time as well. Truly the best of Roatan!

This was easily the best day of our cruise, would love to go back and stay on the island. Our group of 10 had Ivy as our tour guide, she was great! Told us all about the island, never rushing us as we moved from activity to activity. I highly recommend the Monkeys and Zip lining. I was a bit nervous to zip line (being affraid of heights), but after the first run, it was nothing but FUN! We also snorkeled and hung out at the beach. Roatan was my favorite place we visited!! This was largely because Darry was an awesome tour guide. I felt like he was a friend by the end of the tour and really wanted us to have a good time. I have recommended Christopher Tours to anyone that may be going to Roatan and I hope that I will have the chance to see this wonderful place again. Had an amazing time in Roatan. Alonzo was there when we arrived and once we gathered up the others we were on our way to zipline. Alonzo dropped us off at SS Canopy Tours and they were amazing as well. Preston was great as our main guide while on canopy tour. He took our cameras from us and made sure to get some great shots of us as we made our way from platform to platform. From there Alonzo took us to Tabyana Beach and it was everything I had heard it was. About 20 ft from the shore line you are able to snorkel in small reef area. Great pics there too. All in all probably my favorite port on this trip. Thanks again Christopher Tours for making Roatan a memorable experience for us.

day before our arrival on the Carnival Valor. Hayman met us at the port and spent the whole day with the five of us, showing us the best of Roatan. All of us (2 adults, 2 teens, and one child) had the best time, and I felt secure with Hayman. He took us to zip lining, to the West Bay Beach, ate Iguana at a local restaurant, toured the city, and then back to the boat in plenty of time. Hayman was very knowledgeable, polite, and helpful, making sure we had the best time during our short visit. We hope to visit again and will definitely use Christopher Tours.

We just returned from a cruise and had researched shore excursions extensively before leaving. We decided to book with Christopher Tours and could not have been more pleased. We were traveling with my parents and 4 daughters, ages 9, 11, 15, and 17. Alonzo was very helpful in making the arrangements and answering any and all questions that we had. Bernard was our tour guide and was easy to find when we arrived at the port, he took us where ever we wanted to go including the monkey farm (which the kids loved), the zip line tour was great and the guides were very helpful and then we went snorkeling. Bernard took us to a couple of great spots to take pictures at and we appreciated Alonzo checking in with us at the zip line and the beach to make sure everything was going well. It was definitely the best tour excursion we had that week and we will book again if we return to Honduras. Helpful Tip: If you do not wear your swimsuits to the zipline change while you are there before going to the beach. The restrooms are busier and not as easy to use at the beach.

Ivy (Alonzo's sister) was our guide for the day and she was awesome! We did so much, so easily! We booked the best of Roatan and it really was! She was waiting for us (early) and we got right down to fun. She took us to an overlook for some pictures. She was knowledgeable about the island and fun. We went to the monkey farm (kids 11, 13, 13, 19, 23) loved it and it was quick. Their are several zip lines on Roatan that we past on our trip. Ours was BREATHTAKING! 13 lines with HUGE views of the ocean, Absolutely gorgeous. Next we snorkeled on the reef right off the beach. I am a huge snorkel critic (I am a diver) but I wished I had some tanks. It was awesome! We saw starfish and the water was crystal clear. We did have some younger children that they had trouble fitting with snorkels so I am glad we brought our own masks for them. We spent about 2 hours on the beach and then she took us back to the ship. This is by far the best excursion I have ever been on. I research ALOT before a trip and I will be back to see Ivy again! GREAT JOB!!

Our group booked our excursion prior to sailing on the Carnival Dream. We paid through PayPal, so all we had to worry about was tips. They provided transportation to and from the cruise terminal. We were greeted by Alonzo and Myron and taken on a tour of Roatan prior to arriving at the zipline. It was a very informative ride and we were able to ask as many questions as we wanted to. We were told that the native language of Roatan is actually English and that Spanish is their second language. Once we arrived at the zipline, we put all of our belongings in a locker and proceeded to get fitted for the harness and equipment needed to zipline. There were two guides that were with us for every trip down the line. They gave detailed instructions and even rode with us and did some tricks. We went on approximately 7 different lines and it was wonderful. Upon returning back to the main station, we were entertained with monkeys that were on site. Took lots of pictures and we were then transported to Bananarama Beach. I only have one word for this, Awesome. The bluest water I have ever seen. Most of our group ended up going on a snorkeling trip from the beach. We ate at the cafe that is located right there. Not expensive at all. $41.00 for 5 meals. Returned back to the cruise ship when we felt like it. We set the time limit on this excursion. They were readily available to take us back when we asked them to. Great time, great price, great island.

We booked online before our cruise to Roatan and Alonzo met us just outside the terminal. He introduced us to Freddy, our guide for the day, and we were off! We took a short Island tour and then went to the beach. It was a wonderful beach with great chairs and umbrellas and a spot not too far up the beach to do great snorkeling. Later we asked to go to a restaurant and he took us to one with great seafood.

My daughter and I scheduled a zipline/beach trip with Christopher Tours while on a Celebrity Cruise. We wanted to try something new and exciting...so we signed up for a zipline/beach excursion. Kevin was our driver and "host" for the day. He gave us a personal tour of the island, answered all our questions and took care of every detail to make our day perfect. Ask for Kevin to be your driver! Roatan is a beautiful island. Our zipline experience was awesome. Our 2 guides were excellent and safety focused. The beach stop was picture perfect. This was by far the most personalized excellent excursion I have ever scheduled. We were picked up at the ship dock on time and returned on time. We truly got more for our money than on any other excursion. And..Christopher Tours is so sure you will be happy with their services..they do not collect your payment until you are returned to the dock. Try them out..you won't be sorry.
P.S. The bathrooms at the Zipline were some of the cleanest I have ever seen!

My mother and I went on a cruise for her birthday. I was told to book shore excursions online instead of going through the cruise line because it's cheaper. IT IS!! And Christopher's Tours was EXCEPTIONAL!! We bought the total package and we went on an island tour, zip lining and snorkeling!! We also stop at Monkey Farm which is AWESOME!!

Perfect Day in Roatan thanks to Hayman and Christopher Tours

We booked the Best of Roatan Package with Alonzo at Christopher tours for a day of Sightseeing, Zip-Line and snorkeling. The day could have not gone better. Our Guide for the day was Hayman and he made our day in Roatan one we will never forget. He was the perfect guide of the island from his friendly, knowledge info about the island to all the stops he took us to. The Monkey Sanctury is a must see on this tour. Went right in the cages with the monkeys and got hold and pet them for quite a while as they jumped from one head to another, like nothing I've ever done. He also took us to some of the most beautiful views high up in the island including the lighthouse where you basically get a 360 view of the whole island. Then we went on to the zip-line which was just awesome and finally to the beach for some snorkeling.
Overall this trip could not have been better we enjoyed every minute of the tour and would definitely request another day with Hayman if we are ever able to make it back to Roatan.
I rate The Best of Roatan Package and our guide Hayman both a Perfect 10.

Kevin was our driver and he knew the Island and was an excellent host. We had specific things we wanted to do and he planned the best way for us to do it all. Our kids had the time of their lives playing with monkeys and iguanas. My husband and I did too. After the wildlife he took is to a great beach and we had a wonderful lunch. We were back to the ship in perfect time. I would use Christopher tours again. We would love to stay on Roatan for a week. When we talked to other people on our cruise about their experience they all wished they had gone with us.

We had the most wonderful day touring Roatan with our private guide Ivy. Our group consisted of eight people from age eight to eighty-five. We started our day at the Iguana farm. My eight year old twins loved feeding and petting the iguanas. Next we loaded a small wooden water craft (It looked scary but ended up being the highlight of our tour) The private, charted tour gave our group a glimpse of the lush foliage and unique and colorful homes that line the coastlines. The most memorable part was gliding through the mangrove arched. Calling it breathtaking would be an understatement. We finished our tour at the cameo factory. The handiwork there is remarkable. On the way back to the ship, Ivy negotiated a great deal on Honduras soccer jerseys $10 a piece. Thank you Ivy and Christopher Tours for making Roatan our favorite port on recent vacation. We can wait to visit again

Alonzo meet as at the cruise terminal as promised in his e-mail. The zip line staff was great and when we finished Alonzo was waiting and took us to the beach. Roatan was highlight of our trip thx to Alonzo and Christopher Tours

Traveled to Roatan, Honduras on Norwegian Spirit. Had 80-yr old mother, hubby, and 3 kids aged 8-15. Thanks to Alonzo and Christopher Tours, our day in Roatan was the highlight of our trip. Get the tour, see the monkeys, do the ziplining and snorkel on the reef. Met several of the Christopher guides and they all seemed great. Can't rave enough.

Kevin was an excellent guide, he and the tour are highly recommended. First we did a little picture taking on top of a mountain looking down at the pier then it was off zip lining which was great, the staff there was very friendly, knowledgeable and safe. After zipping it was off snorkeling which was way better than Belize. The guide took just the 4 of us out and showed us amazing coral, lobster, snails and fish. Then we asked Kevin to take us to a local restaurant. WOW was the food great! I cannot say enough about how personable, friendly and enjoyable Kevin was. The biggest plus (besides Kevin) about this tour was that it was just the 4 of us with Kevin and not a huge group. A must do while in Roatan.

Roatan Zipline and Beach Tour

This was by far the best excursion that my wife and I did on our cruise. Our driver and tour guide, Kislin, was awesome and told us all about the Roatan and the people and culture and history on the way to our excursion and was very courteous. The zipline tour was amazing and long. We were expecting maybe one line and thought we would be done in 10-15 minutes, but it actually lasted at least an hour and a half and you do several different ziplines and the scenery is amazing. The two guides we had on the zipline were also great and very friendly. We were then taken to beautiful beach where we were were able to go snorkeling, (which was also amazing). We saw a lot of different fish. Then my wife and our other friends went parasailing and had a blast. We highly recommend this tour and will be doing this again in the future. Ask for Kislin for your tour guide, he's great! Thanks for the amazing time.

Wow! Best excursion ever

If you have any doubts about booking an excursion through a non-cruiseline company then leave those doubts at the door. Dario (our tour guide) was awesome and treated us like friends and customers. Your tour guide is with you (and just you) for the whole day. He took us to a boat to do some snorkeling and two guys took us out while he waited at the car to watch our stuff and pick us up at the end location. The snorkeling was almost exclusive as we didn't run into anyone else while out there. Our guides stayed in the water with us, pointed out cool things and even took some pictures I could had never held my breath long enough to take. After snorkeling though the best reef I've ever seen he picked us up, brought our change of clothes from the car so we could change. We then opted to go to the monkey farm and got to play with some monkeys. He took us to a store to shop (a little steep in prices so we opted to shop at a different place). Overall the tour was worth more than what we paid. We would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks!

“VIP experience.”

We booked the Best of Roatan tour with Lonnie as our driver, For the price, it was a great experience. Lonnie took us where we wanted to go, a historic tour, the zip line, snorkelling, and to a local spot for a beer. Just the two of us, not in a bus with 16-20 other people. We received such great personal service all day and when we got to the zip line, we were given 2 guides. It was a much nicer way to see the island. And the price was about the same as the bus tour zip line from the ship would have cost. When I inqured on the ship about the cost to zip line and snorkel, the shore excursion host told me that it was not possible to do both due to time constraints. Sure, if you take a zip line tour from the ship, go back to the ship and take a snorkel tour, but not with a private tour with Christopher Tours. They will accommodate you and it is your day to do what you want to do. If you are in Roatan, just do it. You do not need the overpriced ship excursions. For $85.00 apiece plus tip we had an incredible experience.

In Celebration

In celebration of our daughther's 21st birthday, we booked a 7 day cruise with our last stop in Roatan. Given this was expected to be our only Caribbean cruise, we spent a lot of time looking at excurision options and found Christopher Tours via Trip Advisor. While the reviews were very favorable, you always have a little worry that you are making the right choice. Boy are we glad we choice Christopher Tours.

From the very first, our contact with Alonzo (the owner) was great. He was quick to respond to our inquiries and did a great job of providing us with the information about the meeting place and details of the excursion. We arrived at the meeting place and was greeted by Alonzo's smiling face and off we started on what turned out to be an amazing day. In fact, it was the highlight for all of us of our 7 day cruise as well the best of all of the excursions we booked that week.

Our package included a private tour, with the zip line, land tour, iguana farm and snorkel trip. The zip line was a breeze not just for how quickly we got out on the lines but for the beautiful surroundings as we zipped through the tree canopy. The guides were helpful and took some great photos. My husband and daughter loved the zip lines. I had a little trouble stopping because I kept trying to hold the line down to stop versus a quick pull down on the line and release which resulted in a hard jerk on my arm/shoulder. Just remember it is a quick pull down on the line and release. Once I got the hang of it it was great. The views are breathtaking. In fact, when we first pulled into port I told my husband, lets sell everying thing and move here.

We also went to the iguana farm and while it is a small area located at a home, it is well worth the stop and extra fee (about $8 per person) just to see all the iguanas along with a monkey, turkeys and a few geese. It was a lot of fun feeding the friendly iguanas and seeing several hundred scattered over the property.

Last stop of the day was the snorkeling. Unbelievable! Our guide for this part of the excursion was Denver. It was short boat ride to the reef where Denver lead us about the reef. The water was crystal clear with schools of tropical fish swimming about. At one point, I realized I was swimming in a school of fish as they darted around me. Would highly recommend if you are not a strong swimmer to take advantage of the life jackets so you can enjoy the views without worring about staying afloat. Also recommend a decent underwater camera or getting a water proof cover for your camera. We had purchased fuji underwater disposable cameras and they did not take any decent photos. After the snorkeling excursion, it was back to the ship. We were a little worried about getting back on time but Alonzo advised again, no worries and got us there in time. In fact he drove us back up to the pier so we did not have to make the walk back from the original meeting place. Apparently, Carnival does not allow the outside vendors to pick up from their dock area but the little extra walk to be able to take a Christopher Tour was well worth it.

While the tour and the great service by Alonzo would have been enough to highly recommend this company, it was what happended after the tour that makes this company and its people a step above others.

As our ship was leaving port, my husband realized that he had left his camera behind. We did not know if it was left in the van or on the snorkel boat which is actually owned by a independent company and not Christopher Tours. I quickly called Alonzo and he pulled over (since he was driving at the time of my call) to search the van. He could not find the camera so indicated he would check with Denver (snorkel boat operator) and let us know. Given we were returning home a few days later, we wondered if the camera was lost for good since it was not in the van and might be overlooked on the snorkel boat or claimed by someone else. We were devestated that not only had we lost the camera but more importantly, the photos of our trip and all the memories attached to them. But again, no worries. Alonzo had contacted Denver after our call and had arranged to pick it up for us. He then looked into several options (Fedex at $70 plus or mailing it $25) to find an affordable way to get the camera back to us since it had all the photos my husband had taken during our 7 day cruise. After coordinating with Alonso through emails, phone calls and making it through the holiday breaks, our camera arrived about a month later. The mail is very slow from Roatan but was well worth the wait.

In this day and age, it is refreshing and wonderful to find others who are willing to go the extra mile to help someone. Denver did not have to safe guard the camera for us. Alonzo did not have to take his time to locate our camera, pick it up from Denver, research affordable options for its return, store it while the post office was closed through the Christmas/New Year holidays, package it and then take the time to ship it. All of which took valuable time from him and his business but he did so cheerfully and for that we will always be grateful. So if you have any hesitations on what excursion company to book your memories with , you can not go wrong if you select Christopher Tours. They are a class act from start to finish.

“3RD Time in Roatan and 2nd time using Christopher and guide Kevin!!”

We used Christopher in Sept 2011 and by chance our 11 day cruise in January 2012 stopped here again. I emailed Alonzo and requested Kevin again, always with quick replies!! Kevin and Alonzo were waiting outside the gate as always. This time we docked at Coxen Hole and as we've seen most of the island, I just wanted to walk around and shop for a while, then go to Bananarama at the West Bay Beach for the afternoon. Kevin has both times been much more than a driver to us.....A friend, a guide and a bodyguard as well always looking out for our welfare!!! The prices for local handicrafts were far cheaper in Coxen Hole than I've seen elsewhere. I bought a beautiful Mohoganny Cane for my 89 yr old father with a gorgeous elephant handle for $20. After we went to the beach, which was more crowded than I've seen, Kevin made sure we got settled in a couple of lounge chairs and watched our belongings as my wife and I walked down the beach. I can't recommend these guys enough!!! Thanks again Kevin and Alonzo for always making our visit special!!

Terry our Guide!!

We met Terry our guide for the day at the dock and were escorted via jeep to the Zipline, where we had our own private guides. We were able to leap frog over the large groups from the ships, and our zip guides (Sala & Geoffrey) were phenomenal! We were able to do extra tricks as well as all 12 lines. We then went to the beach were our guide was with us for the day and Christopher Tours made sure we had beach chairs and access to the private beach for a nominal fee. Terry, our guide was informative, attentive, and outstanding in every possible way. We would definitely use Christopher tours again, and would recommend the full package! ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!JIM AND I DID THE ISLAND TOUR ,ZIPLINE AND THEN WENT TO THE SNORKLE BEACH.LONNIE WAS VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. Great Day in Roatan!!

Great day in Rotan thanks to this tour group. Was meet at the dock as soon as we left the ship and taken to our driver Dario Dilbert,he inturn got us to the ziplines where we were the first ones of the day out(which meant no standing in line) our guides on the lines took our camera and took photos along the way,when finished the bus from the ship was just showing up and we were off for an afternoon at the beach. At the beach Dario pointed out where we could snokel,eat,drink,lay around, and fresh water shower.Dario kept anything we didn't want on the beach in his car. On the way back to the ship it turned into a sightseeing& photo trip.We did all this and got back to the ship in plently of time.Will book again with Christopher’s, like this no hidden surprise's and I believe you get more than you pay for

Our Great Experience in Roatan!!

Justgot back from cruise and all I cannot say enough about our experience in Roatan! Kislin was our guide and he was a very informative, polite young man.We did the freestyle tour and he drove us all around the island pointing outthings and telling us the history of the island. We stopped several times forpicture opportunities and he even carried my aunt's shoes as we walked alongthe shoreline! My cousin and I went parasailing while the other four opted tojust be on the beach. Kislin was there waiting for us when we got back to shoreto escort us back to the family. I did my research on shore excursions for a cruise vacation my family took inDecember 2011. Found Christopher Tours options by far the most exciting andreasonably priced. Reservation process was really easy. Appreciated the factthey didn't charge for small children. My daughter loved the fact she didn'thave to be in a car seat all day. (she is 26 months) In my note, I requestedone of three drivers that had great reviews on Trip Advisor (Kislin was ourguide). It rained when we arrived in Roatan but rain stopped shortly after wegot off the ship. It was just hard to find the representatives. I thought Ifollowed the written directions but after we asked one local we were able tofind our guide. Kislin welcomed us with a smile on his face and I shared with himthat we promised our daughter to see monkeys, we wanted to see places othertourists don't get to see, take some pictures others won't get to take and eatlocal food. We didn't have to share our van with anyone (unlike otherdestinations). We were able to go as far as Punta Gorda and see everything inbetween. Saw monkeys, iguanas, fish, parrots, different neighborhoods, resorts,drank fresh coconut water, ate local food including breadfruit and by far thisexcursion was the best out of our shore excursions (went to Mayan ruins inBelize and had a snorkeling excursion in Cozumel). Kislin, thank you forallowing us to meet your family and many regards and thanks to Mrs. Nancy. Wehad a fantastic day!!! Hope to see you when we return.

I am extremely impressed with the service/friendliness of Christopher Tours. We loved Kevin's down to earth demeanor giving us a taste of his life on the island. Our journey through the mangroves was incredible, and better then I expected. Our guide took us through the town allowing us to see their environment first hand in addition to the actual mangroves. Kevin took us through the Parrot Tree Resort, to the oldest town on the island and eventually to Miss Marley's for lunch...letting us experience "iguana" for the first time~yikes!:) Roatan was our favorite and would definitely return and use Christopher Tours in the future !
